Description
By: David Schryver
When he released Roadside Falls of Northern New York Volume 1, The Tri-Counties, Schryver planned on following it up with books dedicated to other parts of the north country. This is Volume 2, which focuses on waterfalls in the north-eastern corner of the portion of New York State north of the Mohawk River/I-90 corridor.
Often when we think of the Adirondack waterfalls, we envision remote locations requiring long hikes. For whatever reason, many people aren’t able to make these hikes. This book will guide you through 50 waterfall locations, all within 1/2 mile of a highway and many with roadside views.
These many not be the most popular falls in the area nor will they be the tallest. They are simply some pretty locations that are easy to get to. As with Volume 1, this is set up as a “tour” of these falls. This time, he starts in Franklin County and travels through Clinton, Essex, Warren, and Hamilton Counties, presenting you with some very pretty and easily accessible waterfalls.
